Kicking on

Founded in 1912 by employees of NPL, football has grown steadily over recent years and we have grown to become the largest section in the Bushy Park Sports Club.

Our growth has been fuelled by success on the pitch and a concerted effort to welcome new players, especially in our youth section. Our on-field success has been matched by a determined drive to attract sponsors which has enabled us to continue our focus on improvement and sustained development.

Football has a senior and youth section, and a vets team meet and play on Sunday mornings.

Shooting stars

The senior and youth section have enjoyed considerable success in recent years with the First XI finishing as runners-up twice in the Middlesex Intermediate Cup and once in the Surrey Intermediate Cup.

The adult section currently runs three teams:

  • First team plays in the SSEC Intermediate Division one
  • Second team plays in SSEC  Junior Division One
  • Third team plays in Division Two of the KDL

Young guns

NPL Youth welcomes boys and girls aged from 7 through to 18 years of age. We are an FA Charter Standard Youth Club and our goal is enable players to develop to their full potential, in a positive environment.

As part of this, we offer:

  • Frequent matches
  • Well-organised coaching sessions
  • Holiday camps
  • Academy opportunities

The vets

If you are over 35 but still want to play regular football, come along and join our Vets football on Sunday mornings.

Playing passing football in a good spirit, away games take place in many local areas including Ealing, Feltham, Chiswick, Ham, Harlington and Cheam as well as at home at Bushy Park Sports Club. The season starts in September but the team are hoping to play some pre-season warm up matches towards the end of August too.

After a good game, players deserve a well earned drink which for home games, takes place in the pavilion together with sausage and chips! Definitely worth getting out of bed for... Contact Geraint (details below) if you are interested in joining the team.
